Ailsa O'Shea - Owner Crafty Chefs
After spending 12 years working in the BBC, I realised I was ready for a new challenge that would fit around my family life.
I took over the Crafty Chefs Barnet franchise in 2013 and with my passion for good home cooking & baking, it was the perfect next step!
I take such pleasure showing children how quick & easy it is to rustle up good fresh food and let them take control. I think it is very important to educate children from an early age about food & cooking. After all it’s something we all have to do at some point in our lives, whether we like it or not. Crafty Chefs runs cooking workshops for approximately 1500 children annually, Another 1000 children attend other events such as Cooking Parties.
Crafty Chefs gives me the opportunity to pass on the skills and knowledge which will help encourage children to learn about food and explore new flavours, in a fun and educational way whilst building confidence and encouraging independence. Over the years I have enhanced my cake baking and decorating skills which in turn, I can now offer fabulous personalised celebration cakes for your special occasions. I’m very much looking forward to building the company over the coming years as well as continuing the successful workshops and parties that we offer.
